Eight teams selected the Demo pitch!
The 54-hours Startup Weekend took off in the evening of Friday (27th August 2021) and ended in the evening of Sunday (29th August 2021) under the LJI SUSU(*1) which is supported by JICA. A demo pitch was conducted by 8 teams selected out of 96 ideas that had been submitted under the themes of ‘Let’s do innovative business for social challenges’ and ‘Let’s do made in Laos for import substitution and export promotion.
Each of the participating teams developed a business model by receiving practical advice from mentors from the business society and LJI facilitators until the last moment. Participating team members were very creative by utilizing IT tools to enhance their discussion and even conduct online market surveys during this 100% online startup weekend.
After hard work and dedication, the teams pitched their businesses to the judges who are from business societies and startup/SMEs supporting organizations.
